Canopius appoints new Group Chief Operating Officer

Canopius Group has announced the appointment of Kate Roy as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Kate will assume her role in early 2022 and report to Neil Robertson, deputy chief executive officer.

Kate is a highly experienced COO having worked in broker and carrier organisations as well as an outsource service provider during her 33-year career. She joins from Willis Towers Watson, where since 2015 she has held the role of COO for Great Britain and Willis Ltd. She has also previously held senior positions at AIG and Capita Insurance Services.

Kate brings to Canopius a proven track record of leading and delivering complex and transformational operational solutions in business units across multiple geographies. With a strong client-centric approach and focus on efficiency, Kate is also a staunch advocate for technological and digital solutions, as evidenced by her involvement on the PPL board since the platform’s inception.
