Aston Lark has announced that it has completed the purchase of Michael James Insurance & Property Services LLP, a specialist independent commercial broker based in Maidstone, Kent.
Michael James Insurance (MJI) was established in 1984 and serves the needs of over 1,000 clients. The business has a GWP of approx. £2.5m with a strong focus on the Care sector and Real Estate. MJI is led by the partners Ian Andrew and Michael Allbutt who will remain with the business initially to ensure a smooth transition for staff and clients alike. The business will combine into Aston Lark’s existing Maidstone office in the coming months.
This deal represents Aston Lark’s second acquisition of 2018 and the first since the group completed its full integration and launch of the new brand to clients earlier in July.
