Aon has announced that Graeme MacMillan has been named as Chief Broking Officer (CBO) for Commercial Risk Solutions in the UK. He will join the firm on 1 November 2023.

MacMillan brings over 20 years of broking leadership experience, along with a wealth of knowledge and strong relationships with the regional and London markets, built through senior market roles at Aviva, Marsh and Ardonagh Group.

In this new role, which is a sign of further investment in a strong broking team, MacMillan will be responsible for the UK Commercial Risk broking strategy and will help strengthen insurer relationships to develop differentiated propositions and products for clients. Through joint reporting lines to Jane Kielty, head of Commercial Risk Solutions in the UK, and James Baum, head of wholesale and specialty broking, he will also ensure the UK broking strategy works in tandem with Aon’s Global Broking Centre (GBC).

Jane Kielty, head of Commercial Risk Solutions in the UK, said, “Graeme has a phenomenal track record of leading the creation and execution of innovative and differentiated broking strategies that are bold and ambitious for the benefit of clients. It’s great news that both Aon and our clients will soon be benefitting from his experience and skills to help navigate emerging forms of volatility.
