When it comes to insurance there is clearly a lack of understanding and trust amongst consumers. Independent research carried out for the CII showed three-quarters of consumers’ online conversations about motor, home and travel insurance during a 12 month period related to poor communication and a lack of comprehension on the part of the customer.
Although it’s tempting to simply blame customers for ‘not reading their policy,’ the market would do well to accept that the lack of transparency and complexity exhibited is a contributing factor to the negative perceptions that exist.
Insurance is complex and there is a clear customer demand for a trustworthy source of information that’s free from commercial influence. This is what drove us to develop www.AskCiindy.com.
