An exciting future lies ahead as our Towergate businesses move over to Geo. From 1 February 2018, our personal lines business joins Geo Specialty in operating under the Geo brand. The move marks the next step in a programme of change as we transform into an agile MGA structured for long term success in an evolving insurance market.
Our commercial businesses will soon also move over to Geo, completing the operational phase of the transition. But that’s by no means the end of it. We’re on a journey to make a difference. To carriers. To brokers. To the industry as a whole. Geo is the start of that journey.

Towergate Underwriting starts its journey to become Geo Underwriting
Towergate Underwriting, the core business within The Ardonagh Group’s MGA segment, today begins its journey to Geo Underwriting.
Under the leadership of CEO Paul Dilley, Geo takes its first step in transforming into an agile MGA structured for long term success in an ever-evolving insurance market.
With the new regulated entity now established, the central, specialty, personal lines and private clients’ businesses will be the first to go live under the new Geo brand effective today.
These businesses start to shape the new Geo structure, based around four pillars. Geo UK, Geo Europe and Geo Specialty – both of which launched last year with offerings in Scandinavia and the London Market, and Geo Partners, which will contain businesses acquired that will continue to trade under a separate brand, currently containing Property Initiatives Underwriting Agency (PIUA) and Solis Re.
Along with the new structure, the business will also look to further simplify and improve its offering in the market by reviewing their pricing and product portfolio, with the first signs of this being seen in the new Geo Private Clients’ high-net-worth proposition.
Paul Dilley said today marks a key milestone for our business and the start of our journey.

The evolution to Geo Underwriting is no small task and work will continue in a phased approach through 2018.
