Zoopla backs disruptive insurtech home insurance start-up Neos

Neos, the UK’s first-ever connected home insurance service, has secured a strategic investment and exclusive partnership with Zoopla Property Group (ZPG), which owns some of the UK’s most-trusted digital platforms including Zoopla, uSwitch, PrimeLocation and Property Software Group.

The partnership gives Neos exclusive access to a vast audience of property and insurance interested consumers. In September, ZPG reported over 53 million visits to its websites, up 13% year on year, and its property apps also saw strong growth with total downloads now in excess of 8.3 million.

ZPG brands such as Zoopla are recognised as trusted ‘consumer champions at the heart of the home’, making them well placed to share with their customers the benefits of Neos’ refreshing approach to home insurance. This enables consumers to actively protect their home and help prevent unwelcome incidents such as fire, water damage and theft.

By providing and linking the latest home technology including connected HD cameras, smoke, water, motion and door sensors to the Neos mobile app, customers can control and be alerted to a potential incident in their home. At this point customers’ can either resolve, or request further support from the Neos 24/7 emergency assistance team. Should a claim be necessary, Neos customers also benefit from the comprehensive home insurance cover from its lead underwriting partner, Hiscox.

This industry changing approach has been backed by insurtech fund Eos Venture Partners, insurance heavyweights, and former England footballer and Match of the Day host, Gary Lineker.
