Accenture, Avanade and Microsoft work together to help Towergate streamline its business and reduce costs
Towergate has selected Microsoft as its partner for cloud-based computing on the Azure platform, one of the first in the insurance market to move key IT services to the cloud. To help support its IT transformation, Towergate has also selected Accenture and Avanade as its integration partners to deliver Microsoft Azure services and to roll out the end-user computing solution on the Windows platform.
Towergate’s IT transformation programme focuses on four service towers: networks, data centres, end-user computing and service support. Microsoft Azure will be the cloud platform for Towergate’s data centres and end-user computing will be based on Windows 10, Office365 and Skype for Business.
Towergate has selected Microsoft as a cloud provider that could not only provide stability and resilience, but also offer flexibility through consumption pricing that allows Towergate to manage costs in the current estate as the business volumes grow. Azure also gives Towergate the flexibility to acquire and integrate more business units, deliver new products and solutions at speed, as well as provide more streamlined services to its customers.
