PIB Insurance Brokers, one of the UK’s fastest growing Legal Sector brokers, has made a number of significant hires as it builds its specialist Legal team and presence across the UK.
Joining PIB’s ever-expanding Professions offering is Jon Wozniak (Ex Chubb & Bluefin), David Wood (Ex-Bluefin & AJG), Kieren Windsor (Ex-Lockton & AON), and Kevin Bell (Ex-Lockton). With close to 75 years’ senior level Professional Indemnity experience between them, the team will be based at PIB’s Bristol office, helping PIB further consolidate its grip in the South West.
The new appointments come as part of a wider strengthening of PIB’s UK Professions team, with offices now based in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Ipswich and London, as well as Bristol. The team will not only place significant focus on assisting law firms in running the insurance aspects of their businesses, but will also help their clients extend their income generation opportunities through litigation funding and ATE coverage, enabling law firms to run more cases to completion.
Commenting on the hires Brendan McManus, CEO of PIB, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to build PIB’s Legal team. These hires underline our ability as a company to attract the strongest talent and ensure we consistently develop and strengthen our offering with the very best individuals providing the highest levels of expertise and service throughout the UK.”
Jon Cook, head of PIB Legal, also commented: “The experienced individuals that make up our Professional Risks team have built their reputations on their ability to offer innovative and tailored insurance and risk management products for clients in the legal arena. These hires reaffirm our commitment to providing national coverage and combining the highest level of experience and expertise with a local service, allowing us to continue to go above and beyond the needs of our clients”.
The new hires join PIB’s existing Legal team, which has extensive experience in advising solicitors on insurance and risk management. The team includes Steve Vickers, Ged Wood and Martin Hall, all of whom are leading insurance practitioners.
