Marsh appoints new leader for Public Entities & Social Housing

Marsh has announced the appointment of Adrian Willmott as leader of its Public Entities and Social Housing Practice, which provides risk, insurance and claims advice to public sector organisations across the UK and Ireland.

Based in London, Mr. Willmott reports to Steve Bonynge, Proposition Leader, Corporate Practice. Mr. Willmott has overall responsibility for delivering Marsh’s services and solutions to local and central government, government agencies, emergency services, and social housing providers from the Practice’s hubs in Cardiff and Newcastle, and across the wider Marsh network in the UK and Ireland. Mr. Willmott joined Marsh in 2007 and previously led the firm’s National Corporate Practice in the London South East region.

Commenting on Mr. Willmott’s appointment, Steve Bonynge said: “The public sector in the UK and Ireland is facing an increasingly complex risk landscape, with weather-related risks, regulation and cyber threats high on risk managers’ agendas. Under Adrian’s leadership, Marsh’s Public Entities and Social Housing Practice is well-placed to advise our clients on how to tackle these risks and leverage insurance to manage their impact more effectively.”

Mr. Willmott added: “Local and central government, government agencies, emergency services, and social housing providers need to shape strong and vibrant communities, while controlling their costs and building resilience into the delivery of their services. I look forward to working with the team to deliver the services and solutions that our clients require in order to meet these challenges.”
