Gauntlet welcomes back former employee to help fulfil future growth plans

Commercial insurance broker, Gauntlet Group, has welcomed back former employee, Angela McIver, to help it forge ahead with its growth ambitions in key markets.

Angela left Gauntlet a few years ago, due to the commute into its Leeds head office, from her home in Haworth. She has returned because of her belief in its business strategy and service ethos.

Now, back in situ, she is handling every aspect of her clients’ portfolios, sourcing new business opportunities and managing new accounts from their inception, with a view to building a long-term relationship with clients.

She is the first point of contact with clients needing to review their insurance needs and source the right cover, at the right price. She is also a key part of a team that is growing significantly each month.

Angela’s experience in the insurance sector spans roles at Morgan Insurance, Budget Insurance and SME Insurance and she has handled everything from personal lines and commercial insurance, to running a branch and being a sales manager.

In her free time, Angela works on behalf of an animal rescue charity and enjoys reading and eating out.

Gauntlet Group’s managing director, Roger Gaunt, says, ‘We are delighted to have Angela back and her support is already proving invaluable.  She understands the Gauntlet Group’s brand, and its history, which is a great bonus, as she has instantly been able to project our core values and build relationships with new clients. She will undoubtedly help us to grow the business in line with our targets.”
