Female insurance broker entrepreneur wins 2015 Enterprise Vision Award

Jackie Hyde, Director, Stanmore Insurance Brokers

Jackie Hyde, Director of Stanmore Insurance Brokers Ltd and dot2dot nursery insurance, has won this year’s Enterprise Vision Award for Financial Services.

Nominated alongside five other nominees, Jackie was recognised for her 30 years of experience within the insurance industry. As Director of two insurance providers, Jackie has been able to hone her skills and provide a professional and personal insurance broking service to her customers.

Launched to celebrate the achievements of women in business, the Enterprise Vision Awards is now in its fifth year, with this year’s celebrations held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on 25th September 2015.

Commenting on her success at the awards night, Jackie said: “I was so proud to be selected and nominated alongside other such inspirational women in the industry. This award recognises the incredible work that has been done by Stanmore and dot2dot over the years, and highlights a strong future ahead for both businesses.”

Established in 1962, Stanmore Insurance Brokers Ltd work with a wide range of businesses and industries to offer their expert insurance advice. Rather than delivering a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution, Stanmore work hard to get to know a business’ operations and a deep understanding of their needs, in order to deliver a top quality insurance service.

After working with Stanmore for a number of years and following experience in the early years sector, in 2003 Jackie decided to launch dot2dot, a specialist provider of nursery insurance. Underwritten by Aviva, dot2dot works closely with nurseries to provide a bespoke insurance package that is tailored to the individual’s requirements.

Not content with helping businesses with their insurance, Jackie’s years in the industry have taught her to appreciate the importance of support in all areas. After four years in business, dot2dot teamed up with Croner to provide the Croner-i Early Years Toolkit. This online management tool acts as a first port of call for support, guidance and documents on Health and Safety, Employment Law, and policies and procedures.

Talking about her success, Jackie had this to say: “The whole experience from being nominated by Jane Kenyon, to reaching the finals, the judging day and then the buzz of winning at such a fabulous event was tremendous. Thanks to the EVA team and in particular Carol Horn.”

Following her win, no doubt Jackie will have her sights set on further ambitious projects in the future to help develop the offerings of both Stanmore Insurance and dot2dot.
