Ecclesiastical Insurance has been awarded first place for its home insurance product in the Fairer Finance Autumn 2016 Home Insurance table.
Ecclesiastical has held the overall top spot in the Fairer Finance rankings for 18 months topping the chart of 47 UK insurance providers.
The independent consumer group surveys thousands of UK banking and insurance customers twice a year asking them to rate how satisfied they are with their bank or insurance company in four key areas; happiness, trust, complaints handling and transparency.
Ecclesiastical has the highest overall ranking in the home insurance category beating well-known names such as Aviva, Hiscox, John Lewis, and NFU Mutual to the top spot.
Ecclesiastical also tops the list as most trusted insurer, with its customers giving it an overall score of 69% – four per cent higher than any other insurer on the list. The specialist insurer’s customers are also among the happiest scoring the company 73% in this category.
John Blundell, managing director for Ecclesiastical’s UK general insurance business, said: “I am delighted that, once again, Ecclesiastical has been rated top in the Fairer Finance Home Insurance tables. I am even more pleased that we have been named as the most trusted insurer by our customers, as one of our main aims is to be the most trusted financial services group in all our chosen markets.
“We know that our customers trust us to be there when they need us most and 99% of our UK customers are satisfied or extremely satisfied* with the service they receive from us when they have to make a claim.”
