Leading motorcycle insurance brokers Carole Nash have announced an early renewal of their Underwriting Management Agreement (UMA) with insurance provider and underwriter Ageas.
The new multi-year agreement is effective immediately and follows on from a highly successful deal previously entered into between the two companies in 2012.
The move enables Carole Nash, who offer cover for nearly a quarter of the UK's bikers, to provide for a number of specialist schemes. These include Vintage bikes, Classic bikes, Affinity schemes and similar schemes in the Republic of Ireland.
As well as traditional underwriting services, Ageas also provide the Altrincham-based insurance brokers with a dedicated and specialist bike claims service. A recent claims service survey carried about by Ageas found that 89% of Carole Nash customers were satisfied with the way their claim had been handled and with over a third giving a score of 10/10.
David Newman, Chief Executive at Carole Nash, said: "We have a long-standing relationship with Ageas and are pleased to be renewing our agreement early. Carole Nash is currently experiencing record-breaking market share and in order to build on our position we have to work with partners who share the same core values as us. Our brand promise to our customers is 'The care it deserves' and we know that partners like Ageas put us in the best position to deliver on that."
Francois-Xavier Boisseau, CEO of Ageas Insurance Ltd, said: "I'm delighted to be continuing our long-standing relationship with Carole Nash. Motorcycle was one of our first sizeable niches, and it has become a profitable line for us largely because of our strategy of working with and drawing on the expertise of specialist brokers like Carole Nash to ensure Ageas meets the needs of motorcyclists with products they want supported by service they expect.”
