Carole Nash Insurance brokers grow digital footprint

Motorcycle insurance experts Carole Nash are further embracing the digital age with the release of a new mobile app aimed at motorbike enthusiasts.

The first of its kind by a motorcycle insurance brand, the new platform – named insidebikes – features a full-throttle, 360-degree experience, with fans able to tail bike racing legend 'Rocket’ Ron Haslam around the iconic Donington GP circuit, all from the comfort of their own home.

Harnessing giro technology embedded in mobile devices, the 360 experience allows users to look around their environment and interact in a multi-dimensional space. Bikers will get closer than ever before to racing legends and face realistic racetrack simulations.

The app was officially unveiled at Motorcycle Live, with attendees offered the opportunity to immerse themselves in a full augmented virtual reality environment by sitting on a real-life Honda CRB600RR and donning a VR headset.

Following the show, the insidebikes app powered by Carole Nash will be available to download for free on the App Store. New features will be added regularly throughout 2016, from the latest biking gossip to upcoming events and exclusive offers, making it a must-have for fans of all things two-wheeled.

Rebecca Donohue, Head of Marketing for Carole Nash, said: "Bikers are becoming more tech savvy by the minute and recent conversations with our policyholders confirmed an appetite for such a feature. Our response was to introduce something unique that is going to help us stay even better connected with the biking community.

"In return our customers will get a slice of the action and the opportunity to interact with their racing heroes, as well as take advantage of many special promotions available via the app. Watch this space, as we've only just begun to scratch the surface and there's plenty more exciting things in the pipeline!"

Gavin Talbot, Director of Oakley Mobile Ltd, who created the app, said: "For an insurance company, Carole Nash has set the bar high in adopting cutting edge technology to bring new and digital innovations to their audience. I'm certain the Ron Haslam experience will create a lot of excitement and we can't wait to work hand-in-hand with Carole Nash on the insidebikes' future developments."
